At Cawdor House we try to make the most of the wonderful produce available locally. We have looked at our suppliers very carefully, and endeavour to use only fresh, free range, seasonal goods. The meat comes from Forbes Farm (2 miles from Nairn), the eggs from Meikle Geddes Farm (3 miles from Nairn), fruit and vegetables from Ramages in Nairn (who in turn source from local suppliers). Our jams and marmalade are made by award-winning Rose Cottage Country Kitchen of Nairn, and cheeses from Connage Highland Dairy in Ardersier. We have deliveries of wonderfully fresh fish, all landed in Buckie, Moray, and bought to us by our 'fish lady' Marna twice a week. Even the oats for the porridge come from Alford, Aberdeenshire, stone ground by a mill which dates from 1880, and many of the herbs used in the summer are grown in the garden.
